Carrie Lee Striders, Wellness, and Walk to School Day
Please encourage your child to rise to our challenge to increase the number of students meeting our goal for walking one mile a day! We hope to blow the top off our charts! Our staff will be having conversations as we continue to strive to increase our activities promoting wellness in our schools. Mark your calendar for May 8 for our last “Walk to School Day.” You may drop your student near the intersection of Broadway and Franklin Street, close to the walking path.
Vesterheim Projects on Display
Carrie Lee fourth graders are looking forward to the culminating activity of their Pioneer Immersion Study. The Vesterheim Museum Open House will be May 16 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. We hope you will visit the museum and support our students as they display their work.

Students will be participating in Step-up Day on May 14. Our fourth graders have been corresponding with a fifth grade pal and will be meeting them when they go to the middle school for their orientation.
Third graders will “Step-Up” to fourth grade, while John Cline second graders come to Carrie Lee to see what third grade is like. Students will rotate through all of the current grade level classrooms to meet the teachers and learn about the highlights of the grade they are going into in the fall.
Class lists will be posted at the August registration.
